During exercise Trojan Footprint 22, U.S. Special Operations Forces work and train together with NATO allies and European partners across Southeastern Europe, the Baltics and the Black Sea region to demonstrate their collective military readiness to deploy and respond to any crisis that may arise.
Special Operations Command Europe Announces Establishment of Forward Deployed Headquarters in Albania

STUTTGART, Germany – As part of an ongoing effort in enhancing Special Operations Forces capabilities as a keystone for regional stability, US Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) has made the decision to locate a forward-based SOF headquarters, on a rotational basis, in Albania. The location of the forward HQ in Albania will provide increased interoperability with our Albanian allies, important access to transportation hubs in the Balkans and greater logistical flexibility.
Greece, Cyprus and the U.S. join forces for naval SOF exercise in the Mediterranean Sea

CRETE, Greece – Naval special operations forces from the Greek Underwater Demolition Team (DYK), Cypriot Underwater Demolition Team (UDT), and U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC) joined forces to conduct a maritime exercise in Souda Bay, Greece, January 11-29.
The tri-lateral Special Operations Forces (SOF) exercise, which was designed to better enable global operations, included Over the Beach (OTB), Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS), and Small Boat Interdiction (SBI).
ARNG helicopters complete unique SOF mission in Europe

STUTTGART, Germany- An Army National Guard Helicopter task force completed the first aviation support rotation of its kind in Europe. The multi-state unit from Colorado, Kansas and Utah brought U.S. and allied special operations forces, in the Special Operations Command Europe area of responsibility, the ability to train from new heights, literally, from July to October 2016.
ILLESHEIM, Germany- On July 11 a helicopter task force comprised of four UH-60L Black Hawks and Soldiers from the Colorado, Utah and Kansas Army National Guard arrived here to support Special Operations Command - Europe’s components during training and exercises throughout Europe for the next few months.
