Astral Knight 24 to exercise U.S. EUCOM’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense

A multi-national military exercise, called Astral Knight 2024, kicked off Monday, in Europe. It is focused on exercising Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and the incremental development of theater-wide security capabilities.
The military medical professionals from the four nations participated in multiple scenarios to discuss how each nation achieves intended results and ways to combine them into best practices.

The medical Pods at the temporary Joint Mobility Processing Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, are just the first stop for medical care for newly arrived evacuees during Operation Allies Refuge. Here, and throughout their stay on the installation, Air Force medical teams make sure evacuees rapidly get the care they need: whether receiving much needed over-the-counter medicine, being seen by an OB-GYN or getting treated for other illnesses.
A young girl’s eyes lit up as three U.S. Air Force pilots spoke about their experience of flying. She asked questions one after the other to learn as much as she could, in hopes to one day be a pilot just like them.
As part of Operation Allies Refuge, the Public Health team at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, is continuously out in the evacuee camps sharing tips and enforcing regulations to keep Airmen, volunteers and evacuees healthy. By encouraging everyone to wash hands often and wear masks and gloves when appropriate, Public Health works to mitigate the spread of disease and prevent illness.
Airmen and F-15s from the 48th Fighter Wing will participate in Exercise Point Blank 20-4, Sep. 10, with other U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa units, as well as the Royal Air Force, Royal Netherlands Air Force, and first-time participation of bomber aircraft from U.S. Global Strike Command.

The 21st Theater Sustainment Command coordinated the movement of 21 pallets of supplies from the Netherlands to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, where members of the 86th Logistics Readiness Squadron, 721st Aerial Port Squadron and 1st Air and Space Communications Operations Squadron downloaded, prepared and loaded the nearly 12,000 pounds of supplies onto a U.S. Air Force C-130.
U.S. Air Forces in Europe led an all domain mission with assets from U.S. Naval Forces Europe, U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, and U.S. Space Command, over the Black Sea, July 22, 2020. Two B-1B Lancers from the 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, conducted a long-range strategic Bomber Task Force mission to the Black Sea region, 29 May, 2020.
During the mission, the two B-1s conducted training on the Long Range Anti-ship Missile (LRASM). Designed to target adversary ships, the LRASM gives the B-1 the ability to have advanced stand-off and counter-ship capabilities.
